Welcome to Memphis GAA! We're a community where Irish sports and culture come alive, right here in the heart of Tennessee. Whether you're an athlete, a fan, or just curious about Irish heritage, join us in celebrating Gaelic games and building connections that last a lifetime.

Our History

Established in 2016, the Memphis Gaelic Athletic Association operates under the governance of the GAA, headquartered in Ireland, and is overseen in the USA by the USGAA. Our club engages in the sports of Gaelic football, camogie, and hurling. Training sessions and games are held at Tobey Field, Overton Park and the UTHSC Docs field. Throughout the year, our teams compete in various tournaments with other teams in our region.

Our Mission and Values

The Memphis Gaelic Athletic Association is a registered non-profit organization committed to promoting Irish culture and sports in the Greater Memphis area through games, cultural events, and strategic partnerships with local organizations.

We are a vibrant, collaborative, and inclusive community where players, coaches, and supporters are empowered to reach their fullest potential.  We welcome individuals regardless of skill or background, embracing diversity in race, ethnicity, body type, gender, sexuality, and socioeconomic status.

Our Sports

The Memphis Gaelic Athletic Association, we play three traditional Irish sports: Gaelic football, a fast-paced mix of soccer and rugby; hurling, the world’s fastest field sport that requires skill and precision with a hurley and sliotar; and camogie, the women’s counterpart to hurling, offering the same speed and excitement. Each sport blends athleticism, teamwork, and a deep connection to Irish heritage.

Our Sponsors

We couldn't do what we do without our amazing sponsors. Their support allows us to pursue our love for Irish sports and strengthen our community. We're grateful for their partnership and all they help us achieve.
